Xylo Bikes Warranty

Xylo Bikes, LLC provides a 3-year limited warranty from the date of purchase, covering manufacturing defects in the wooden frame.

Warranty Coverage:

This limited warranty applies only to the wooden bicycle frame and does not cover other components, which are covered by their respective manufacturers.

Covered Under Warranty:

  • Structural defects in the wooden frame caused by faulty craftsmanship or materials.
  • Delamination or splitting of the wooden frame due to manufacturing defects.

Not Covered Under Warranty

  • Normal wear and tear (including but not limited to minor scratches, dings, and cosmetic changes).
  • Discoloration due to sun exposure, weather conditions, or moisture.
  • Damage resulting from accidents, misuse, neglect, improper storage, or improper assembly.
  • Use of the bicycle for extreme sports, professional racing, stunts, or other extreme conditions.
  • Any modifications, repairs, or alterations made by a third party or an unauthorized service provider.
  • Weight Limitations: This warranty is valid for riders weighing up to 250 lbs (113 kg). Excess weight beyond this limit may result in frame damage that is not covered under the warranty.

Warranty Period

  • The 3-year limited warranty begins on the original date of purchase and applies only to the original purchaser.
  • This warranty is non-transferable and does not extend to second-hand owners.
  • A valid proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation) is required for all warranty claims.

Exclusions & Limitations

  • This warranty does not cover incidental or consequential damages, including loss of use, inconvenience, or personal injury.
  • Assembly & Maintenance Requirement:
    • Failure to properly assemble or maintain the bicycle according to the user manual may void the warranty.
    • Customers are responsible for regular inspections and proper maintenance.
  • Improper Storage:
    • Storing the bicycle in extreme temperatures, humid environments, or prolonged exposure to rain or snow can cause structural damage not covered under warranty.

Warranty Claims Process:

To file a warranty claim, customers must:

1. Contact our support team at info@xylobikes.com with:

  • A detailed description of the defect.
  • Photographic evidence of the issue.
  • Proof of purchase.

2. Xylo Bikes will review the claim and determine if the issue is covered under warranty.

3. If approved, Xylo Bikes will repair or replace the frame at no additional cost.

4. Customers may be responsible for shipping costs associated with sending the product for inspection.

Processing Time & Shipping Policy:

  • Warranty claims are typically processed within 10-15 business days from the date of submission.
  • Customers are responsible for packaging and shipping the product safely to prevent further damage during transit.

Remedies Under This Warranty

  • If a valid warranty claim is approved, Xylo Bikes will:
    • Repair the defective frame, or
    • Replace the frame with a new or refurbished one of equal or greater value, or
    • Issue a partial refund at Xylo Bikes’ discretion if replacement is not feasible.
  • If a replacement frame is provided, the warranty period does not reset—it continues from the original purchase date.
  • No Guarantee of Exact Match: Due to the natural variation in wood grain and finishes, replacement frames may have minor aesthetic differences from the original frame.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

  • This warranty is governed by the laws of Delaware, USA.
  • Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Delaware.
